🧶Delve into yarn therapy with this super easy knitting lesson!

Choose ‘Workshop Registration - 1st timer’ for your free workshop. Make sure to add any tools or the Knit Kit if you need.

Everyone attending for the first time, will be able to attend for free. All consecutive lessons will be charged at $25 for 2 hours.

Suitable for adults & children, 10 years & up.

In recent years knitting & crochet have gained even more popularity due to its calming effects on anxiety & stress. While the repetitive action engages the pre-frontal cortex of the brain, it pauses the mental chatter we all experience - like meditation, but with colours, shapes & fluffy textures!

This workshop is aimed at beginners & those looking to refresh their skills.

This will be a facilitated workshop in a supportive & nurturing environment. It will be hosted in small groups so everyone feels comfortable to move at their own pace. As everyone has different learning styles - along with group demonstrations, individual attention will also be given to those feeling unsure.

What to bring:

• Your workshop registration email - digital or printed

• Yarn

• Knitting needles that match your yarn size

• Scissors

• Stitch markers

• Water bottle - keep hydrated!

Alternatively, you can purchase our beginner friendly Knit Kit that was created especially for this workshop. If you already have the tools there is no obligation to purchase this kit. Your purchase also supports our small business & helps us offer free classes.

The kit includes:

• 1x 700gms spool of t-shirt yarn

• 1x pair of bamboo knitting needles to match the yarn

• Yarn cutter

• 4x large stitch markers

• 10x small stitch markers

• 2x yarn needle - for sewing together separate pieces

• 1x portable yarn holder - so you knit on the go

• 1x zippered pouch to protect your small tools

• 1x tote bag to hold & transport your craft goodies

If you have some of these items & don’t want to buy a whole kit, you may also purchase individual items.

50% of proceeds (not profits, but revenue) from the sale of the tote bags will be donated to Australian Alliance for Animals.
