Shenanigans in detail

Be honest! How long have your WIP's been sitting on the back burner?

So here's a fun afternoon centred around all things creative! Bring your WIPs if you are an experienced crafty fox or if you are a crafty fox-in-the-making you can learn to knit or crochet.

Ok, I'll go first. I started an embroidery project 5 years ago.....it's still not done😳

The purpose of this afternoon is to create new connections, support a local, vegan business & finally give some attention to our many, many, MANY pending WIPs....(you know ho you are😉) & maybe even learn a new skill🤷‍♀️

Suitable for adults. Younger children may attend if accompanied by an adult & they will receive a mocktail, juice or fizzy drink.

Before arrival please note the correct date, time & location of your booking. There may be changes but you will always be notified by email. The website will always be up to date with the correct information.

Your ticket includes:

  • A jug of margaritas to share among 4 ppl or another cocktail of your choice if you don't like margs; crafted by ace bartender, Bek

  • Some finger food to fuel our gas-bagging; original creations by in-house chef, Tanya

  • A Knit Kit or Crochet Kit & all the teachings if you purchased the Craft Skills ticket (group demos + 1-on-1 training)

What projects can I bring?

(excellent question m'dears)

  • Embroidery

  • Drawing/digital drawing

  • Knitting

  • Crochet

  • Little-loom weaving (see ideas here)

  • Anything that doesn't take up so much space that it physically prevents you from being social...

Here's a small selection of my work in case you want all sorts of ideas......

Our beginner friendly Kit includes:

  • 1x 700gms spool of t-shirt yarn

  • 1x pair of bamboo knitting needles to match the yarn or 1x bamboo crochet hook

  • Yarn cutter

  • 20x stitch markers

  • 2x yarn needle - for sewing together separate pieces

  • 1x portable yarn holder - so you knit on the go

  • 1x zippered pouch to protect your small tools

  • 1x tote bag to hold & transport your craft goodies

  • Newbies will experience a facilitated workshop in a supportive & nurturing environment. Everyone can feel comfortable to move at their own pace. As everyone has different learning styles - along with group demonstrations, individual attention will also be given to those feeling unsure.

The Craft Skills Kit has been specifically created to enhance the learning experience. Previously we have offered the option to bring your own tools, but the learning journey had knock-on impacts on the whole group. So all lessons are now carried out with our Craft Skills Kit.

50% of proceeds (not profits, but revenue) from the sale of the tote bags will be donated to Australian Alliance for Animals.

To purchase yarn & support our work further, please visit the new Vegan Yarn Store website, Instagram, Facebook &/or Pinterest

Thank you for your love & support🌱🧶
