Vegan Singles Mix-a-lot

The pressure of speed dating &/or first dates are as ridiculously high as much as it is a waste of time scrolling through endless profiles on any dating app. Now add the ‘vegan’ criteria to that experience & your potential mates shrink down to a single dot on a Venn diagram, which eventually turns out to be yourself 🤦‍♀️

This event has been created to take that pressure off & let you enjoy a relaxed social environment where you already know that everyone is single & vegan. So you can straightaway dive into great conversations & yummy nibbles (of food….behave!).

If you are serious about connecting with other single vegans then you will appreciate what this event has to offer.

Unlike speed dating you won't have a fixed amount of time to screen someone before you move onto the next. Let's face it! Vegans are so unique in their own right. A five minute quick-fire round of questions is not the most effective way to showcase your beautiful selves, rinse & repeat 50 more times. Many of you bear the honour (or scars) of being the black sheep of the family! Some of us are activists, some of us are entrepreneurs - it’s just not your traditional party mix of personalities.  But all of us want a kinder world for animals.

In a social conversation you can feel more comfortable being yourselves as you're getting to know each other.

The overall theme for this event is speed socialising/mindful connections.

To encourage a balance of genders a discounted ticket is offered if you bring along a friend of a different gender to yourself.

This will be a facilitated event where you will have the opportunity to meet each other in small groups, enjoying casual conversations with small plates of nibbles to share. Once you've all had the opportunity to meet each other, you can then move on to a cocktail style gathering so you can mingle with those whom you most connect with.

Your ticket includes a glass of non-alcoholic drink upon arrival & shared plates of finger food throughout the afternoon. Additional drinks can be purchased as you please.

Food includes:

• Fried Cauliflower

• Calamari

• Feta

• Chorizo

• Foccacia

• Hummus

...all vegan of course!

To add to the fun there will be door prizes announced towards the end. And because all c&e events are purpose focused, there will also be a raffle to raise money for the Australian Alliance for Animals who are lobbying to end live sheep export & the use of battery cages for hens.

There might be an obvious elephant in the room. What if you’re vegetarian & still want to attend? Vegetarians who are on their path to veganism are encouraged to join. Maybe this event & the connections you make could be a positive influence on your journey. However, to protect the interests of the participants it needs to be explicitly stated, if you're not vegan or are never intending to be, then this event will not be suitable for you. 

Where is this event happening?

It will be hosted at a trendy spot in or very near the CBD, that has been specially scouted for this event. If you have already purchased a ticket, the exact venue details will be emailed to you on the night before the event. It will be well connected by public transport, not to worry.

Tickets are not refundable but can be transferred to someone else at your discretion.
