Shenanigans in detail

Calling all rebels, rule-breakers, shakers and makers...

Our first yarn club is underway & I promise you're going to love it!!!

Why? Because we encourage you to drop stitches, lose count of rows & basically do what you want as long as you're having fun! There is no such thing as a mistake.

There will be finger food and Prosecco.

You will learn:

  • Cast on stitches
  • Knit/purl stitches - your gateway to experimentation
  • Adding extra stitches
  • Decreasing extra stitches
  • Colour-blocking
  • Knitting in a round - to make an infinity scarf (optional)
  • What to do if you drop a stitch
  • ...and most importantly why freestyle knitting should become your next favourite hobby

Will leave with:

  • Yarn skills for a lifetime
  • A pair of high-quality knitting needles that are interchangeable (they are the best because you won't to buy too many different ones for each individual project)
  • Luxurious plant-based yarn - enough for your first project (plus more can be purchased if you want)
  • Stitch markers for your current and future projects
  • .....and a little tipsy from the Prosecco

There will be hands-on demonstrations for the group and for each individual if you need a little extra care.

Please bring a small pai of scissors, notebook & pen. But we will make sure you get enough practice that the stitches become muscle memory for you.

All tools & materials for your first project, finger food and a glass of Prosecco is included in your ticket.

As with all our events, a portion of every ticket will be donated to an organisation fighting animal cruelty. This time, $10 from every ticket sold will be donated to The Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds to support the end of greyhound racing. Learn about their work and feel free to support them additionally on their website.

Looking forward to a fun afternoon with you lovely knit-wits (we don't have age, gender, social demographic biases - everyone is welcome)!
